Waterfront Festival Big Opener Contestants Announced
The Ottawa Valley Musician Development Program, created by the City of Pembroke’s Recreation Department, received a wealth of applicants from all over Renfrew County, competing to win an opening slot at the Pembroke Waterfront Festival, being held this August 8-10.
Groups submitted CDs of their music and press packages, which were reviewed by an independent panel of music industry judges and the following acts were selected to move on to the next round: The Fireweed Company, Zuku, Foot Soldier, Nicolette Lagace and Dubvibe.
The Pembroke Festivals Committee and the Historic Downtown Pembroke Waterfront Festival wish to congratulate the successful applicants and wish them luck in the next stage of the competition; The Big Opener Contest – 180 Minutes of Music
